What I learned, is that the program cannot be summed up in one facet. The benefits that I received came from the life-changing relationships that I was able to build with business professionals. Yes the core classes, internship, and speakers were beneficial to my intellectual growth, but it is these relationships made in one-on-one sessions and lunches that I value most. I came in thinking I would want to go into corporate finance. It was through my experiences in Management Fellows that I was challenged to consider other paths. My ideas about my personal career journey grew and developed as a result of the curriculum. I may not have seen myself as leader going into the program freshman year, but these people took a chance on me and believed in me. I was supported every step of the way by my peers, the McDermond Center staff, and alumni. Today, as a result of this program, I feel more confident in my abilities. It is important to always have your ears open to listen and consider new ideas. Without Management Fellows, I would not be where I am now without the help of this program. I am eager to start my role as a functional consultant in Salesforce practice at Appirio next year.
